Six months after the hallway modernization, I started with renovating the kitchen and part of the living room. I started the demolition of the existing 25 year old kitchen and cut a new door into the wall, so the customer could go into the garage without going outside to do so. I installed a new doorframe and door with door trim to match the existing doors. Then I positioned the new wall socket outlets above the new countertop and modified the existing plumbing for the new kitchen. I also prepared the electrical wiring for the custom wall shelves. I then removed the radiator and replaced it for a new one with new plumbing and piping to go with it. The customer wanted to have the piping for the new radiator out of sight, so I routed it to go into the garage and back into the kitchen as low as possible. I made a timber and plasterboard cove to cover the main cv piping and had it all plastered. After the plastering was done I installed the new kitchen with new appliances, installed new skirting and the door trim. The new countertop was installed and the custom oak wall shelves with built in lights were installed.
I did most of the work myself, only the plastering and painting were done by a third party.
